 In a majority of the responses to the terrorist attack on Domodedovo, many people have written about many things, but in my opinion, they forget about what is most important.Most of all, they forget that terror was started by Russia, and Russia continues it to this day. Since 1999. In Chechnya. What is going on in Chechnya cannot be called a war. An attack by the well-armed army of a nation with a population of 140 million on the poorly armed army of a country with a population of but ONE million – this is something between terrorism and genocide. And this “war” began with the help of three terrorist attacks carried out by the FSB against its own populace: the bombings of apartment buildings in Moscow and Volgodonsk that were allegedly committed by the Chechens. A fourth bombing nearly took place in Ryazan, where the local authorities out of ignorance almost arrested two terrorists from the Lubyanka (FSB HQ building — ed). I also remember that the third bombing, the one in Volgodonsk, was announced in the Federal Parliament by Speaker Gennady Seleznev three days before it happened. The Russian United Democratic Party ‘Yabloko’ demands that the Federal Security Service provide the public and Parliament with a detailed report on the investigation of all major terrorist attacks since the bombings in Moscow in September of 1999. It is clear now that the intelligence service secrecy is causing direct harm to the safety of Russian citizens. The vicious practice of covering up the circumstances of terror attacks leads to an absolute lack of control, and therefore irresponsible security services.

 Putting the phrase ‘airport bombing’ into my search engine yielded some unexpected results. I read it and could not believe my eyes. Could this really be?Hundreds of thousands of citizens in various cities across the country are participating in protests against the terrorists who organized the bombing of the airport. In the capital at least a million inhabitants are demonstrating under the banner: “For peace, for life, for freedom — against terrorism!” The demonstration is supported by more than 500 political parties and public organizations, and was started by the nation’s leading labor unions. Taking part in it are government officials, leaders of the ruling party and other political factions, prominent politicians, scientists, and artists.  The terrorist attack at Moscow’s Domodedovo airport is not related to Chechnya. Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said this, according to RIA Novosti. He also said that Russia would not negotiate with terrorists. “No self-respecting country in the world is going down this path,” said Putin. “We must wage a ruthless fight against terrorism and extremism,” he stressed. Putin, however, noted that the nation’s leadership “has never refused to negotiate with any political forces that wish a settlement.”
